>> Case Studies and References

Cancer Society of New Zealand – Canterbury West Coast Division

“Computer Concepts came to our attention when we were looking to upgrade our existing server and enable our Timaru and Greymouth offices to access data from our Christchurch office. Though we are a not-for-profit organisation, we operate on a business model. With over thirty staff and servicing a large community we have demanding IT requirements.

Out of all the quotations we received for the project, Computer Concepts was the most impressive. From the outset, what is important for us is the people we work with and having the confidence in dealing with them. What struck us about Computer Concepts was their professionalism and ability to talk at our level. We also liked the fact we were dealing with a Canterbury company.

Computer Concepts is currently working with us to centralise information for the entire Canterbury West Coast region. With a central database, should anyone from the West Coast come to Christchurch for treatment, we have on hand their history with our other offices. Computer Concepts will play an integral role in allowing our IT infrastructure to accommodate this growth.

Computer Concepts implementation of projects always goes according to plan. Their engineers make all our staff feel comfortable with any major changes taking place; this comes from the confidence they have in them.

We continue to get great support and management of our systems from Computer Concepts. They understand our organisation and what we are trying to achieve.”

Roger Martyn, Business Manager, Cancer Society of New Zealand – Canterbury West Coast Division

Nelson Pine Industries

“Five years ago Nelson Pine transitioned to a SCO UNIX platform and unfortunately we found ourselves in a real bind when the majority of our printers wouldn’t work. Taking a wider view, our entire IT infrastructure couldn’t sustain the growth of our operations.

Computer Concepts came to the rescue and has become a vital partner to our business. Aside from keeping our computers upgraded, Computer Concepts ensures we keep pace with the latest IT practices.

We call upon the expertise of Computer Concepts up to four hours a day to cover a range of projects. They are the utmost professionals and the breadth of expertise within their company is a big advantage.”

Phillip Edwards, Administration Manager, Nelson Pine Industries

Network Tasman

Network Tasman selected Computer Concepts as its IT partner two years ago based on its management team and direction of its business.

IT is critical to our business as we own and operate the electricity distribution network in the wider Nelson and Tasman areas. All our GIS systems run off our network as do our core business applications.

Computer Concepts provides daily support for any servicing needs of our servers and website which allows contractors to access information and is a vital communication tool.

Computer Concepts also facilitates our key IT strategies and continuity plans. As part of this, it identifies what hardware needs to be replaced and manages our software agreement with various vendors.

We may be considered a reasonably small site with just thirty users; but the service and expertise we receive from Computer Concepts is of a high quality. Their response time is also irreproachable.

Francine Bencich, Accountant, Network Tasman

Redeal Limited

“Computer Concepts has been the key technology and integration partner for Redeal since 2000 and holds a position of trust that has been well earned over the years.

We were introduced to them when needing expertise with a specific UNIX problem. The scope of services Computer Concepts provides is broad. Redeal’s IT disaster recovery infrastructure is hosted in their secure data center in Christchurch. When we relocated our head office and three warehouses to a combined site in Auckland, Computer Concepts was responsible for managing the project and moving all of the servers. We also carry out our equipment procurement through Computer Concepts.

Redeal relies on Computer Concepts to support all our branches – all hours – with the support agreement we have in place. We call them for any high end technical information on Windows or UNIX.

Computer Concepts employs a high quality staff, so no matter who you talk to there, they are capable of delivering a good result for us.”

Peter Jameson, CIO, Redeal Limited
